Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PaySeed ("we", "us") operates a payment gateway for businesses in Ghana and Nigeria. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use our merchant dashboard, API, and related services.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — business name, email, country, industry, and profile details you provide at signup.
  • KYC data — identity documents, settlement account details, and verification records required for live mode.
  • Transaction data — payment amounts, references, customer contact fields you pass via the API, and webhook delivery logs.
  • Technical data — IP addresses, API request logs, and correlation IDs used for security and debugging.

3. How we use data

We use your data to provide payment collection, settlement, payouts, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance (including KYC/AML), customer support, and service improvements. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Sharing & processors

We share data only as needed to operate the service — for example with payment infrastructure partners, email providers, cloud hosting, and identity verification tools. Merchants never receive direct access to our underlying payment processor; all integration is through PaySeed.

5. Retention & security

KYC and transaction records are retained for at least five (5) years where required by law. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. API secret keys are stored hashed; live keys are shown only once at issuance.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including Nigeria's NDPA and Ghana's Data Protection Act), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements. Contact us to exercise these rights.
